State's Attorney's Office
I am so glad I got this amazing opportunity to be a part of the Mentorship program. I actually got a head start on what I liked and didn't like to do in the field of law enforcement. My time at the State's Attorney's office was incredible; I got to see child support, drug, juvenile, and traffic cases which were all unique on their own. Although, this was
an incredible experience to have a front row seat with Ms. Martin and her team; I know that this is not what I like to do. I have a greater passion for psychology and behavioral analysis than becoming a lawyer. What Ms. Martin and her team do on a daily basis is stunning from an outsider's perspective, but I do not see myself doing that as a career. I have enjoyed participating with Ms. Martin's team; Kathryn Marsh, Ricardo Piereck, Lisa Ridge, Tammy Lafferty, Mike Gerst, Ashley Snowls, Andrew Rappaport, Jennifer Morton, and Kyle Tores talk about their cases and passion for the court system. I am truly grateful to be a part of the program and to find my passion in life. Thank you Mrs. Cross for this one in a lifetime opportunity.
Sincerely,
Alexis Hollingsworth
